A woman meditating in mud

Why must you stop to read?

If you're someone who is exhausted, stimulated, or needs to rest for just a few minutes, I welcome you to join this meditation with me, archangel Michael, and snails!

You could have just found a few minutes in between your office work, chores, or have had to force stop due to sheer exhaustion and pain.

I know how it feels.

I've been where you are.

I've felt lost and like a looser too, only because I didn't have the right energy that could help me slow down and reflect on life.

As someone who has lived relatively slower than the average person for over five years, I understand the need for slow living and beings that help us appreciate slow living. Two of them include snails and archangel Michael, beings who have taught me to slow down and count my blessings.

So, today, I would like to walk you through a meditation that could help you find a moment of peace and self-love.

Let's begin!

Meditation time with archangel Michael

Please find a spot that is 'your spot', and where you can be left undisturbed.

Now, close your eyes.

Take a slow breath in...

and a slower breath out.

Let your body begin to rest.

Let your thoughts begin to slow down.

You are not in a hurry anymore.

Now imagine yourself stepping into an earthy space…

Maybe, you can picture a quiet, muddy garden after a heavy rain.

This is your space.

A space where nothing needs to rush, and you don't need to rush.

The earth beneath you is slightly wet, rich, alive, holding fresh plants.

Here, even the mud is trying to play with your feet.

Because just like nature,

you don’t need to be perfect to play,

you just need to be as you are.

Now… gently bring your awareness

to a small being nearby…

It's a snail.

It is moving slowly…softly…without apology.

It does not question its pace.

It does not compare its journey with other species.

It simply moves, only when it is ready.

Let this sink into your body, while you say it mentally to yourself:

"There is nothing wrong with my pace."

Now, please imagine…

A soft, warm, loving dark blue light begins to surround you.

You are being joined by archangel Michael, the angel of protection.

Feel his presence.

It's not overwhelming, but steady… grounding… protective.

It's like a quiet strength standing beside you.

Then, archangel Michael gently whispers:

"You are safe to slow down."

"You are protected, even in stillness."

Feel him placing a shield of soft, warm, loving, dark blue light around you…

This shield does not rush you forward.

It protects your right to move slowly.

It protects your gifts to feel deeply.

It allows you to pick your pace in life.

Now, imagine yourself transforming into the snail that's still near you…

Similar to a snail with its shell, you are carrying your home with you.

You don't need to chase or belong.

Because, you already belong, wherever you are.

So, feel your body slow even more…

Your breath becomes softer… deeper…

Time begins to stretch…

This is snail-time.

A time where:

You don’t force clarity

You don’t chase outcomes

You don’t abandon yourself

Just like in nature…

There are seasons where things feel messy… unclear… muddy.

But this “muddy space” is perfect.

It is where your roots grow deeper.

It is where transformation quietly begins.

Now gently ask yourself:

What if slowing down is actually guiding me?

What if my sensitivity is not a burden… but a compass?

Let archangel Michael hold space for your answers…

There is no pressure.

There is no urgency.

Now, bring your awareness back to your breath…

Inhale deeply...

Exhale… and release...

Inhale… some more....

Exhale… and release...

Before you return to your day…

Please make a mental note:

🌿 You are allowed to live gently

🐌 You are allowed to move slowly

💙 You are protected as you do

And whenever the world feels too fast, please feel free to come back here.

To the mud, archangel Michael, the snail, and to your snail pace.

When you’re ready, gently open your eyes.

Thank you for joining me in slowing down!

Feel free to drop a comment about your meditative experience.
