What does science say about snails?

A cluster of snails
Allopeas Clavulinium

A few weeks ago, I was saying hello to some plants in my balcony. I was crossing a Night Queen plant, also known as Sacred Saussurea. I happened to look into the pot and found a cluster of tiny snail species in it.

'Where did they come from?' I asked myself, excitedly!

I began feeding them Jasminium flowers. Gradually, one cluster turned into three clusters of snails. Now, there are so many snails! Some have graduated to other pots next to the Night Queen plant, too.

Upon studying them, I found that these snails were called Allopeas clavulinium. This particular species of snail is a herbivorous, tropical, and air-breathing land snail. Usually, they are active early in the morning or late at night. No wonder, I find them nibbling on Jasminium in the evenings and hiding under spinach leaves during the day.

A study conducted to test their food preferences showed that Allopeas clavulinium inclined towards eating rotten leaves or plant parts, pulses, and rice, too. Split chickpea was found to be their favorite food!

It's been a funny discovery, as I am enjoying my time with the Allopeas clusters on my balcony; whereas, my mother is worried an infestation. Infestation is a fair concern; however, I don't think Allopeas clavulium has hurt any plants until now.

They are innocent!

:).

What do you think? Do you find snails innocent?

What do angels say about snails and humans?

Mr. Snail and me

Yesterday, I was feeding a snail, and I called upon some angels to help me speak with the snail. It felt like the snail was telling me to spend time with it. Often, angels and snails work together to give me messages about my life and teach me about life, too.

While I was feeding the snail, I realised that a mosquito was bothering me. I already have so many mosquito bite marks on my hands and legs. I thought to myself, maybe it is best if I drop off Mr. Snail and go home. I began telling Mr. Snail goodbye. Suddenly, I felt Mr. Snail's body touch my palm. It felt intentional, as if Mr. Snail was telling me to go somewhere else. Its touch led me to a staircase nearby. It was signaling me to sit down on the staircase and spend time with it.

It was magical, as I felt excited that Mr. Snail was able to perceive my experience with the mosquito, my thoughts, my plans, etc.

I did end up spending ten minutes with Mr. Snail. My time with it taught me that I (or we) don't have to stay in difficult situations without leaving them. Instead, we can find a different place to do our work (or play our role). Also, Mr. Snail guided me, and there must be people guiding each one of us away from a situation that isn't healthy for us.

The key is to listen.

The key is to listen to the snails.

Here, snails could mean our friends, family, or well-wishers. Of course, these people must be the ones who cheer us and hold good intentions for us.

I assure you that snails and angels are real. I assure you that they have much wisdom to give us and much time to share with us.

It only takes a hello to start our journeys with them :).

Until next time!
