Have you ever felt the need to hibernate, dear reader? Have you ever felt as though you had to retreat from work, family, friends, children, or day-to-day hustle culture?
Well, you're not alone.
Hi, my name is Dr. Pranita Rao. I am a former dentist, published science author, intuitive abstract artist, and an angelic Reiki practitioner.
I support sensitive individuals move from a place of self-neglect to self-love using nervous system-friendly tools like art, angelic healing, angelic Reiki, and intuitive guidance.
When I work with clients, I create a space where clients don't have to 'try' to heal. They simply feel allowed to soften. Angelic energy also helps in clients to feel watched over, as if they are being held by a soft energy.
Think of it is as energetic hibernation in one way. We are held to rest and recover in the angelic Reiki energy.
Also, angelic Reiki doesn't ask us to become someone new. It simply meets us where we are, and it stays there with us.
And I can assure you that angelic Reiki waits for sensitive souls, listens, and stays longer than fear.
Another way to hibernate is by indulging in angelic Reiki.
My journey with angelic Reiki
I began practising angelic Reiki for myself at a time when I was surrounded by negative influences, chords, spirits, and vampire energies. I started my journey by using a Reiki energy called White Dragon Reiki. It introduced me to my white dragon guide, W.D. W.D is a masculine angelic presence who brings in much healing, love, light, practical support, deep guardianship, and friendship into my life.
He helped me heal my wounds and introduced art and blogging into my life. That's the beauty of angelic Reiki. It can impact different parts of our lives. The Reiki energy sent to me by W.D. helped me slowly move from patterns that weren't making me happy. It was protecting me from hustle culture, the corporate rat race, and being burnt out.
Making changes is not easy. And one of the changes I've had to live with is slow growth in life. Although Reiki and angels focus on healing and slow-living, they can be really smart with the changes they bring about.
They can strengthen us gently and reinforce our self-belief so that we can take the steps needed to create a healthier and happier life for us.
Which is why, I believe in Reiki. It brings results and creates a slow, radical shift in us.
Additionally, I also believe in slow-living and write about slow-living using the metaphors of snails.
Snails? You might ask.
Have I raised some eyebrows?
How snails can help you?

Well, it is true. Snails can be warm teachers for sensitive individuals, highly sensitive individuals, healers, spiritual seekers, and artistic individuals.
In fact, I have been missing my snail time, as it is winter in India, and all the snails near my apartment are hibernating. It's strange, the effect snails have on us. I never felt that I would get attached to observing snails, letting them crawl on my hands, play with them, or even telepathically communicate with them.
I don't want to romanticise snails or the benefits of snail time; however, I do want to emphasise that they have a lingering effect on sensitive souls, their nervous systems, intuitive and psychic gifts, and their hearts.
I read something interesting and cheeky this morning. Please let me share it with you :)!
An article about slow living says that "we would be doing slow living wrong if we aren't going to a farmers market on a Sunday morning to get organic food and then going to a secondhand shop to buy sustainable clothing".
And, I do agree.
By this, I don't mean that we need to shop for food and clothing to slow down. However, I do mean that we need to indulge in activities, opportunities, and sacred pauses.
And, why can't snail-time be a sacred pause?
Honestly, when you spend time with a snail, you would realise that there is so much more to our world. It is easy for us to focus on the hum-drum of life, unless we let softness linger on our skin.
Snail-time can help humans hibernate or feel as though they are going through a hibernation session. I swear, if snails were humans, they could be making a lot of money being hibernation coaches for sensitive individuals worldwide.

Pat Flynn is one of the bloggers who inspires me. He writes content on finance but also teaches about entrepreneurship and building communities. In his book, Superfans, he writes how it is important for entrepreneurs to have superfans, people who love the work of said entrepreneurs and would promote their work because they believe in the impact their work can create. I am in the quest for finding my superfans who already have an audience on social media platforms, email lists with like-minded individuals, or networks that share a similar vision as mine or have similar beliefs as mine. If you're one of them, please feel free to shoot me an email (pranitarao62@gmail.com) to share your visions or thoughts with me.
