A baby snail
A baby snail at my door

What does science say about snails?

Snails are cool. If we stopped to look at them, we would realise that they are easy to observe and learn from.

When I first began blogging about snails, I was scared that there wouldn't be much research about snails online. I was wrong! There is some information about the science surrounding snails. I guess not many people dig to find it (snail-pun intended).

A research paper that caught my eye this week was a study on the mucus of snails. We might ask, why do we care about the mucous of snails? That seems like an extremely unique topic. Well, it is; however, it is important to know about it, because it has a wonderful protein called achacin. Achacin is a glycoprotein found in the mucous of a snail species called L. fulica. L. fulica is an alien snail species that displays bactericidal effects, meaning it can kill bacteria. Here is another interesting fact: when scientists examined the mucous of L. fulica, they found that the mucous in the fleshy outer covering of the snail had more bactericidal properties than the foot of the snail. Although this finding is related to L. fulica, many other species of snails have been studied to have mucin that is antibacterial.

You may ask, how would the study of snail mucous impact humans?

Well, many cosmetic industries utilise the mucin of snails in their products, as it helps in preventing microbial infections. I am a hardcore snail lover, which makes me biased to the practice of studying snails in laboratories. However, I've always been a student of science and have appreciated research surrounding animals and plants.

Snails are important, but so is understanding the science about snails. I find that they both can be a bridge to understanding humanity.

What do angels tell us through snails?

As an angelic healer and energy worker, I spend my days speaking with and learning from angels. Angels are real beings who guide, protect, and support us for our highest happiness.

I have trained my spiritual and emotional gifts to receive messages from angels. Often, angels work in collaboration with snails to share messages with me.

Together, they teach me about myself and ‘the humans’ (I assume that’s what the snails call us).

For example, this week I found a baby snail waiting for me outside my apartment. It was shocking, as I stay on the 5th floor! How did it reach my apartment? I have no clue. Did it climb the stairs? Highly unlikely!

But the point is that it was there, waiting for me.

I realise that it was trying to tell me to believe that what's meant for me will always reach me. I have been trying extremely hard in some areas of my life. I've been trying to manifest the people I require for my businesses, social life, health, investments, and personal growth.

Although I see results, I am not satisfied, as I don’t feel like I am living my full potential.

The angels worked with the baby snail to tell me to stop worrying and that the people who are meant for me will always find me. Who knows? They might miraculously appear at my doorstep like the baby snail.

(I do hope that doesn't happen, as that would scare the daylight out of me :p.)

However, the angels ask me to have hope.

So, dear reader, this is me, passing on the message to you too.

If you've been working hard at something and haven't been able to see results, please have hope. Please know that your angels exist and that the people/opportunities meant for you will never pass you by.

The key is to have hope. Please have hope in yourself and in all the baby snail-like people in your life. You know, the ones who always show up for you :).

It could be your parents, pets, friends, colleagues, plants, birds, family, or even strangers.

Please stay on the lookout, as your blessing could be close to you :).

Now, I must say goodbye, but if you want to work with angels or learn more about nature-related spirits, please book a one-on-one session with me. I assure you, we will have fun :).

Until next week!
